Religious Practices/Type of Worship
For all religions, probably Worship and Religious Practices are considered very important. In Buddhism, it is strict and recommended to worship
- Buddhists have the choice of worshipping at home or at a temple.
- At the temple, Buddhists usually have a special room which looks like a shrine with a statue of Buddha, incense burners, and candles
- The Buddhist temples are usually designed to symbolize the 5 elements of nature (Fire, Air, Water, Earth, and Wisdom)
- There are many forms of Buddhist worship such as sitting on barefoot facing the Buddha statue and praying while the monk chants the prayers while hitting a wooden instrument
- Meditation is an action that a person uses to separate from their thoughts so they are completely aware of themselves.
- Successful meditation is done without the ability to judge or think.
